When FAPE is not an Issue
Use a process called Child Find to locate students who are in need of services
If you enroll your child in a private school, they have the choice of whether or not to provide the services that may be needed by your child. Consultation among members of the district and families occur and a decision is made. If the public district decides to provide services within the private institution, then a services plan must be developed. This would emulate a traditional IEP.
